Nisivoccia and Nisivoccia Wealth Advisors hosted the second session in our quarterly Nisivoccia Presents online seminar, The Impact of Social Security, on Thursday, April 20th. We welcomed guest speaker Karen Ireland of MFS Investment Management to discuss the importance of Social Security claiming strategies to overall retirement goals. Deirdre Hartmann, CPA, and Partner at Nisivoccia has been a board member of the SBCA for a few years now and attends their annual conference in Washington, D.C. Deirdre attended the most recent one the week of May 9th. The conference is a terrific opportunity for small businesses and other organizations to get together to discuss and share challenges and opportunities. Deirdre brings a great perspective from an accountant's financially focused point of view of small businesses.
Harlene Stevens, CPA, and Manager at Nisivoccia presented at the Somerset County Business Partnership’s Member Meeting where she shared 2023 Tax Strategies and Updates on Wednesday, May 10th. We had an exciting time connecting with fellow partnership members, and Harlene always provides interesting tips and insights. (See pictures)
Our employees participated in support of Women Build day for Morris Habitat for Humanity on Tuesday, May 16th to help complete homes to get them move-in ready for families. Kristin Anderson, Vivian Atonya, Lori Matullo, Laura Lampron, Diane DeOliveira, Halle Cannon, Allison Bartke, Danielle Hulsman, Sahib Dhillon, and Susan Moore volunteered at Morris Habitat for Humanity's Women Build Day. Our employees enjoyed our annual Food Truck party on Thursday, May 18th! We appreciate our Quality-of-Life Committee and Mike Smith for organizing the annual celebration. It was a beautiful afternoon to enjoy each other's company along with some pizza, BBQ, cornhole, drinks, and flavor ice! (See pictures)
Chris Perrotta, Jim Anderson, Mike Smith, and Kristin Anderson presented and took part in a panel at ASAH's Annual Not-for-Profit Seminar on Friday, May 19th. Laura Lampron also attended and worked at our sponsor table. Many of our clients were there, and it was a fantastic opportunity to get in front of our industry peers! (See pictures)
